Hello. My new dev machine is running XP Pro. In the past all equipment has only used Windows 2000. I have had a lot of problems getting my projects up and running on the new machine. The current one is a permission error. The project is a VC++ Web Service. It works fine when the service is hosted on the old W2K dev machine, but on the new XP machine I get a permission error when the service tries to open a text file on the Windows...

Hi all, I've got what I think is a security/permission issue related to using the OWC 11 components on a Windows 2003 server running IIS 6.0. My web app has a client side Excel grid, and it also creates an server side OWC Excel component to do some formatting. This app all runs just fine and dandy on a Windows 2000 server. It also runs fine on a Windows 2003 server that has IIS set to run in IIS 5.0 isolation mode. But, when I try...

Hi, I recently moved several sites from a dying 2000 Server to a Windows 2003 Server box. Even though a few sites were already up and running on the 2003 box, I've had numerous permissions problems getting some of the transferred sites to work correctly. Right now I'm having FSO problems on a bit of code like this:

I am having an issue with a Microsoft Access 2003 database that has forms designed to import data. When trying to do the import I get a message microsoft office access permission denied. This is being done on a Windows 2003 Server R2 SP1 Terminal Server. The interesting thing is if I add the user to the domain admins group it work fine. I believe their is a permission issue (duh), maybe on a file or folder, but cannot pin point it. I...

Hi David! Really need assistance since I have been struggling with a problem long time now. I am running a web application on a Win 2003 Std (Active Directory). Everything works fine. I have installed same application on another server Win 2003 R2 Std (No Active Directory). On that server I get “Permission denied” using the following code (used to zip folder content).

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
