Multiple Forms in a Page?

I understand ASP.NET 1.1 will only support a single server-side form in an
..aspx page. Could I get tricky from that same page and have a second
server-side form in an .aspx page displayed within an iFrame?

Can you give me your favorite URL pointing to a document describing how to
work with multiple forms work-arounds?

Clinton,

Not (in an easy standard way) in 1.0 or 1.1

I thought that this was one of the new features from 2.0.

I am as well missing it very much.

I've read about some work-arounds published and looking for referrals to
those documents.
I'd also like to determine if my concept of loading another .aspx file in an
iFrame may be a work-around.

Yes, I think 2.0 is supposed to support multiple forms but who knows? I
haven't been hearing much about that functionality yet.

When I mimic an multiple user environment by surfin it in multiple browsers simultaneously the site generates a generic runtime error after awhile. I'm thinking this has something to do with my access database and multiple connections. I'm using forms authentication with a login page. Is...

Is there a way to implement multiple login forms for ASP.NET applications? With our application we want to implement simple login form for normal resources (downloadable files), but more rigorous login forms for tasks like administration and configuration. The current ASP.NET seems only to allow to a single login form via the authentication element in web.config in the root directory. One work-around for our problem is implementing a...

Hi, I have an MDI application that uses a generic "ShowPage" routine in a module that is called when I want to display a child form. The basic idea is that in the module I have declared each form as follows: Friend F0 As frmMain Friend F1 As frmStart Friend F2 As frmSearch Then in my ShowPage routine (which is passed a string "pageToShow" which is the name of the form I wish to open), I first check to see if we already have an instance...

In ASPX 2.0 with MasterPages and all that, my entire page only has one actual <FORM>. But there are several different sections of the page that provide what are functionally separate forms with separate Submit buttons. In basic HTML, I can have multiple forms on a page and the browser knows that if any of the fields for Form A have the focus, then pressing ENTER will send a Click to the submit button for Form A. Same for Form B, etc. ...

hello, I have to deal with the weird limitation of asp.net, as I need to have multiple forms on my page, well three at least actually, one for the login, one for the search engine, and another one for a certain bulletin list, however asp.net allows only one form per page with runat="server" attribute, I am aware of the visibility issue and that I can hide all of the forms except one but this won't help cause I need all of the three forms...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
