Is it possible to Convert Borland C++6 to visual.net ?

I have a project that uses VCL with Tee chart support and other external
controls.
There are quite a few persnoal reasons for converting this over to visual.net
and would like to know if it is possible.
Can the Borland librarys be used with visual.net
or is there a way that I can use the Microsoft librarys?

Thank you
Dave

Which Borland libraries are you using? If you are using the VCL, not they
cannot be used with VC++ because they are pascal source and comiled to C++
OBJ by the BCB compiler, but using Borland format. BCB also have "VCL"
extensions for dealing with Pascal source that VC++ cannot understand.

First, sorry if by some chance I am not posting to the correct newsgroups, these seemed to be the most applicable to my question (see disclaimer at end of post for further comments....). Started with the Borland web site, and it didn't answer my questions, so I hope someone here will be kind enough to reply. I took a few courses on C++ using Microsoft Visual C++, and then taught myself MFC for GUI design -- an exercise akin to using...

I am just beginning programming again and need a bit of advice. I have both Visual C++ 6.0 Standard Edition and Borland C++ Builder 6. Of these two which do you consider the best for programming windows programs (not the DOS style program). I have had a quick look at both of these and Borland seems to have a lot more components (Buttons, Forms etc) than Microsoft Visual C++. Does Visual C++ have these components easily accesable. Chris.

Hi, I'm trying to find out whether Borland C 4.5 and MVC still exist. I'm doing so as I have code that was compiled by them originally and wnated to recompile it using that code to do some testing. I've looked online and it seems like there's only the C++ version of them around. Could I just use the C++ compiler to compile my C stuff??

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
