Hello,
I'm having trouble with something that may be easily remedied. I use
Cantera running on Python. I need to make multiple "Reactor()" objects
and have them assigned a different (user defined) name. For example:

Hi, I wrote an app in .Net and I whant only 1 instance of this app open for
the user; the user open my app, do some works and try to open another
instance of my app, I whant to show a message to user to inform him that only
one instance is permit and then close the second instance after that.
I am able to do this when the user run the application on his PC whit this :
Process.GetProcessesByName(Process.GetCurrentProcess.ProcessName)

Lets say that I have an application consisting of 3 files. A main.py
file, gui.py and a data.py which handles persistent data storage.
Suppose data.py defines a class 'MyDB' which reads in data from a
database, and main.py creates an instance of this object. How does code
in gui.py access this object? Here's simplified pseudocode:

This is a condensed version of a problem I came across today, can
anyone explain what is going on?
If the code below is run nothing will be output (in the original
problem it was causing exeptions).

For example, I have a class and based on some user actions, I want to
create n number instances of those classes, which is obviously unknown
at compile time.

What is the memory footprint of static methods of a windows app running on a
server when the server spins up multiple instances of the application?
In my envirionment, we have a Citrix server farm running .Net 2.0 windows
apps. Does the framework allow for instances of the same application to
access the same memory space where static methods are stored (assuming the
security context is the same for each instance)?

sake one of the members Y is the location of a file to be read. The
