Hi,
I'm looking for a book/books about design patterns (factory patterns,
singleton patterns etc). The book doesn't have to be aimed towards C#
developers in particular, but the patterns should of course be useful in a
..Net/C# environment.
I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance!

Design Patterns
ISBN: 0201633612 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...518587-8112038
I always see this one recommended as the "definitive " book on design
patterns.

Hey all,
I was just wondering if you guys have any good references for books on
design patterns. Something that has a bunch of patterns listed and the
pseudocode or better yet C code. I googled and I barely came across 5
books. Maybe I'm googling with the wrong words. I currently have a
data/algorithm book from university, but that's too...

I've searched Amazon and read probably 100 reviews but can't find what seems
to be any book that is widely accepted as the definitive book on object
oriented programming design and techniques. And most of the highest rated
are all written 10 to 15 years ago. Any good suggestions?

I'm just getting up to speed on OOP patterns (e.g, MVC) and I'm wondering
how closely they are followed out in the real world. Do those of you who use
them try to follow them as closely as possible and deviate only as
necessary? Or do you only generally follow them; mix-n-match as necessary?
Just wondering what I should be looking to...

I am designing the middle tier of a project.
It has 6 classes and microsoft application data access block.
The six classes are DBServices, Logger, ProjectServices ... etc.
and all these classes talk to front-end directly.
Do I need to use any design pattern in this? or what kind of
design pattern is this?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
