This has just started to happen lately. I am currently running VB6 and
VS.NET (2003) on the same machine. (Windows 2000 professional). Everything
has been operating fine over the last month, however, as of late, when I go
to start VB6, windows installer tries to install VS.NET (its already
installed). When I click 'cancel' at the installation prompts, my VB6 startup
stalls and shows 'not responding' in the task manager. Consequently, I cant
get VB6 to run because it stalls once I get to that point. How do I get VB6
to stop trying to 'install' .NET upon startup? Has anyone else had this
problem? Mi************@ yahoo.com 2 1217

I have recently installed Visual Studio .Net 2003 and have
noticed that there are problems with formatting in the
HTML code page. If I format the HTML the way I want and
navigate back to design view then the changes in the code
page are lost. I searched around and found that there was
a patch for Visual Studio .Net 2002 referenced by
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 324199. I tried to load
this patch but of course it won't patch 2003....

Hi all,
I have an XSD file in a web directory in "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\xsd\Test.xsd".
This maps to http://localhost/xsd/Test.xsd. I have tried this URL in
Internet Explorer and the file loads fine.
I have opened an XML file in Visual Studio.NET 2003. I have added
"http://localhost/xsd/Test.xsd" to the targetSchema property and it has
added an xmlns="http://localhost/xsd/Test.xsd" to the root of my XML
document.

Hi all,
I have 2 dev. machines, the 1st is Win 2000 with .NET 7.0 and the 2nd is XP
Pro with .NET 2003. My Web Server is Win 2000 Server with IIS 5.0.
I can create a new project on my test server from the 1st machine, but I
receive an 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error" from my Web Server.
My userid/password are the same on all 3 machines.

Our developers have experienced a problem with updating Web References in
Visual Studio.NET 2003.
Normally, when a web service class (.asmx) is created, updating the Web
Reference will utilise the disco file to update the
Corresponding proxy file and reflect the changes made to the web service.
However, the results of doing this with out params is that the results seem

I've got this really weird problem going on in visual studio.net 2003
where , within a function, i declare a variable, but when i try to
access it within a loop the compiler says it is undeclared. The
problem goes away when i declare the variable globally. What gives?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
