Hello ,Every Body!
I'm a newbie in software test.Currently, I'm immgrant some code from
Oracle to SqlServer,I'm bothered how to test the new code's flexibility
to SqlServer.
The Situation is:
[Code Content] From Front Control which gather user input to back core which assemble
Sql statement.
[Code Defect]
The Code have originally adapted pattern for cross database, but
however during the development, som e code may be Oracle specified.
Thanks For Your Help! 1 1269
My advice: Move all data access to stored procs. You can migrate a good deal
of the code to SQL, but may have to tweak the proc to compile. Then, you are
are cross platform enabled. Other option: Only ANSI-92 compliant SQL in your
"ad hoc" queries (embedded queries).

Hi
I have a requirement to use the Application Center Test
(part of Visual Studio.Net Enterprise architect) program,
to simulate loading on my Web servers. Does anyone know
if it is any good? I have gotten it to work and it seems
to do the job.
I have a requirement to run multiple tests from many
computers simultaneously. The manual seems to hint that

Some people have suggested the desire for code completion and refined
edit-time error detection are an indication of incompetence on the part of
the programmer who wants such features. Unfortunately these ad hominem
rhetorts are frequently introduced into purely technical discussions on the
feasibility of supporting such functionality in C++. That usually serves
to divert the discussion from the technical subject to a discussion of the...

I think you would agree with me that a C compiler that directly
produces Java Byte Code to be run on any JVM is something that is
missing to software programmers so far. With such a tool one could
stay with C and still be able to produce Java byte code for
platform independent apps. Also, old programs (with some tweaking)
could be re-compiled and ported to the JVM.
We have been developing such a tool over the last 2 years and currently...

Suppose one is writing a library behavior the classes A1, A2 and A3, which
share some common behavior. Some applications will only use one of the
classes, while other applications will use all of them.
Because the classes share common behavior, the library designed has to
choose wether to introduce an abstract base class A, or not. Introducing an
ABC has the advantage of run time flexibility, but efficiency suffers

I'm working on upsizing an application from MS Access MDB -> MDB backend
to MS Access ADP -> SQL Server backend. The application has the ability
to create a new, empty database.
Right now all the code is generating DDL statements inside VBA and then
passing them as strings to an ADO command object. I'm going to have to
redo most of the code anyway to update it to work with SQL Server so I
wanted to think about redesigning the whole...

Sorry about the subject, I can't think of a better one.
I recently wrote some PHP classes that I think might be of interest to
this group. Since I have been reaping the benefits of reading news
groups for years, I figure it's time for me to contribute a little bit
back, maybe some people out there will find this useful.

Hi All,
I've spent the last few hours looking for a simple yet clean method via
C# that will allow me to test whether three or more strings are equal
(by value, of course).
I've been forced to go with the obvious (but ugly, if you ask me)
method below:
string a = "test";

Hello
I currently Link the FE/BE using the LinkTables Option and the Linked
Table Manager. Any time I need to move the BE to another location, I
have to go through this process over again. I need the flexibility of
being able to move the BE data to wherever I want, without manually
going through this process. I just want to change the Path/Filename
that I keep in a FE Table.
I want to be able to place a Path/Filename in a FE Table...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
