Hello Experts, I have a drop down list web control in one of my page. Currently if I want to expand the drop down list to show all items, I must click on the down-arrow sign on the right hand side of the drop down list. The question is what are the codes to make it expand to show all items automatically when it is selected? Thanks,

I have a combo box that I would like to expand or "drop down" programmatically. The Simple style won't work because I still need the control to contract or "roll up" after a selection is made, I just need to be able to expand it with code. I'm not coming up with anything.. has anyone done this? Do I need to fake a mouse click (yuck!)? Thanks for reading, Steve

I've got a control on my form that allows the user to select a record based on a form field (in this example, the drop down menu shows the company name, followed by the contact name but uses the contactid to change the data on the form). Most users, start typing the company name which will auto complete itself with the first entry with the letters typed so far. They can then click on the arrow to view the listings, select the one they want...

Hi, I need to populate a dropdownlist control with values. Number of items for that list exceeds 100. I am using Html select list option. When I drop down the list control, it shows the item list to the top of the page or to the bottom of the page. So I fixed the size of that control as 5. Now the size of the list has increased to 5 & the list display size also becomes large in Length &

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
