Project created in demo folder rather than as separate folder in w

Hi

Whenever I create an ASP.NET project, it gets created in the Demo folder in
wwwroot rather than getting created as a separate project folder in wwwroot.
Can anybody tell me how to get around this problem.

When you create the project, it gives you an oppertunity to specify the
path. Look under where you give the project its name.

Hi, I had posted this question earlier also but got no suitable answer. The problem is that when I try to create a new project, the project gets created in a DEMO folder in wwwroot. When I hit File-->NEW Project, the LOCATION box shows the location http://localhost/WebApplication1 & the project gets created in DEMO folder. There is a BROWSE button next to the LOCATION box but when I browse to another location say C:/InetPub/wwwroot...

I have a folder containing many subfolders (and subfolders and....) all containing various .cs files. Is there any "easy" way to get them all added to the solution. Preferable would be that the folders are actually created in the Solution Explorer so that I can find things easily. Its easy to select multiple files out of a single folder, but not recursively into subfolders. Any ideas? -- Adam Clauss

I'm not one to rant or flame....so please excuse me while I do so for this once. I've now spent a bit of time working with VS2005 beta 2 to see how it functions for web development, especially how our current extensive number of .Net 1.1 web apps convert to it. After a week's time I dont's mind the converted app code that was broken and had to be changed, due to deprecation, new framework classes (some of which have names identical to...

Hi all. I apologize if this has been asked/answered already, I couldn't find any info. In 1.1, my standard web application structure includes a front end website, and a management site (or administration site.. however you call it). The management site is a subfolder of the primary site, say "/mgt" and it is a separate IIS application, so it has it's own web.config and authentication scheme. Since both the mgt site and the front end site...

Recently, i am busying myself on a project that support both the Full ..NET Framework 2.0 and .NET Compact Framework 2.0, with the same set of c# code, but have different project properties and references. The question is how could I achieve this, should i create separate project for each purpose? The most simple approach is creating two separate projects, but i'll must maintain two sets of codes.

Again, I'm new to VB.net and there is something I need help with: Like (I assume) many of us, over time I want to be able to create some VB.net classes that I might want to use in more than one Project. So let's say I've created a Folder called "MyVBNet Classes" to hold these general-use VB.Net class files that I will eventually associate with various Projects I create. Now let's imagine I've created a class called "MyClass.vb" that...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
