When creating a COM add-in, the Extensibility wizard allows us to choose the
host applications.
It seems that the needed registry keys for those host applications are then
included in the .vdproj file.
AFTER creation of the project, how does one access the Extensibility wizard
to add/delete host applications and to change the option for loading (or
not) at startup for each host application?

On my development computer, when I try to vreate an Office add-on project via
the wizard (New Project->Other Projects->Extensibility Projects->Shared
Add-In), the wizard does show any Application Hosts on the second page. When
a co-worker does the same on his box, he gets an extensivle list of
application. We are both using VS.NET2003; same office version (2002). I have
far more other tools installed on my box, as well as SP2, while he is...

A word of warning, I am new to .NET and fairly new to SQL Server.
The problem I have must be a common one, but I am uable to make it
work. I have a .NET project and have the user management and roles
working fine via Visual Studio and the default
"ASPNewSQlMembershipProvider." There is database file called "ASPNETDB
..MDF", and users are easily created and logged in. I can access the
tables fine. Now I just need to upload the...

My basic question is, if I use a fixed length host variable for a column
defined as VARCHAR, will trailing spaces be removed (or not) upon INSERT or
UPDATE of this column? I tried it, and it appears they are *not* stripped.
However, the Programming Client Applications manual leads me to believe that
the spaces should be stripped. A quote from that manual:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
