Hi Gurus
I am keen to make a search page on a website, but I have absolutely zero
experience with PHP. I am going to hire an expert, but I thought that it
may pay to try it a bit first myself (I do want to learn how to do it).
What I have is a search page (HTML) and an access database. Now, can
someone give me some clues or links on where to start.
I prefer not to install the whole PHP thing on my own computer, but just to

Hello,
as a non-developer I am currently participating in an industrial "research"
project to develop a so-called "web application". This application serves
at the same time as middleware to connect several other "conventional"
enterprise-applications such as ERP, SCADA etc. and to provide a GUI
frontend to the users. The developers are into Struts, Enterprise Java
Beans and the like, so it will be entirely implemented in Java with all...

I have an XML document that, in order to save b/w for both server and
users, uses a few emtpy tags a la "<add/>" and "<edit/>" in the source,
which get javascript replaced once the document is done loading
into their full form (for <add/>, this would be something like <img
src="add.gif" border="0" onClick="javascript:handleEvent(this,'add')">).
In order to do this I figured the documented needed to use a few html
tags as well (mainly,...

We're getting "ERROR (0x8007000E) Not enough storage is available to
complete this operation" errors on a fairly large, busy ASP/SQL Server web
site. The error is being thrown on a line calling oRs.GetRows() on one of
our busiest pages. The array returned from the GetRows() call will be
'cleaned up' when the page goes out of scope, but I wonder if we should be
calling Erase specifically after the last usage to explicitly free allocated...

For near future specifications to place our ASP.NET software on a server not
being ours i have to ask you a few rather simple questions.
It's for professional use.
We would not like to intervene with the installation that much, a simple
copy to folder should be enough.
Eventually we point the admin to change a few (minor) settings in the
web.config
We want to reach clients using any kind of browser.

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with
it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but
I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page
controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like
it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still
submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the
upload section. The file name...

Hi All,
I need to know the best way to set up a datawarehouse/materialized
view for doing statistics/graphs in Access. My crosstabs and unions
are getting too complicated to crunch in real time.
Should I use a make-table I run after each update?
Thanks,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
