Currently I am launching adobe reader using the following call:
os.system("path.file.pdf")
this works fine for opening the pdf doc at the beginning. We would like
to enhance this and open the document to either a page or a nameddest
in the doc. The syntax for that in the DOS command prompt world is:
acroRd32.exe /A "nameddest=Before You Begin" "path.file.pdf"
However the os.system call won't allow me to call reader using that
syntax. ...

Hi
I have an asp.net application that use Session variables.
What I want to do is to launch an second instance of this application
by a link inside the first application.
The problem is: when I launch the second application, this second
application override the session variables values of the first
application.

I want to launch an installation (setup.exe) from a Web Server using via a
URL. I currently accomplish this by passing the URL to IE:
System.Diagnostics.Process ieProcess = new System.Diagnostics.Process();
ieProcess.StartInfo.FileName = "iexplore.exe";
ieProcess.StartInfo.Arguments = "http://server/path/setup.exe";
ieProcess.Start();
This works okay but users see an IE window flash on the screen before it
launches the installation...

Excuse the novice aspects of this question, but:
What techniques are available to me for launching one c# application (
console .exe) from another?
For example, I know there is the Process and ProcessInfo classes, but
these seem designed for launching non-CLR applications.
Should I access the .exe as a reference?

I have a Windows Service I am writing in C# and a set of, let us say
three, other executables written in C# (mostly console applications).
I want that the Windows Service must do so every few seconds:
Check to see if each of the other executables are running or not. If
they are not running, it should load them.
For this purpose, I am planning the following:

Hi,
I have Googled the internet beyond belief for a solution to this and keep running into obstacles:
I have written an ASP application using our IIS server which retrieves data and displays them in a nice grid. My boss wants the application to create a .txt file of this data when a button is clicked and then open Notepad with this new file so that it can be saved locally on a user's harddrive.
I can create the file itself fine, but...

Hi folks,
I am having a problem using PHP to launch an application on the server.
All the basics work, but I cannot launch more than 4 instances of the
application. This application functions as a server itself, and I
specify the port number when I launch it, so my theory is that I am
reaching some limit on network connections.
This is my basic launch sequence:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
