Is there a simple way to select a row which has been just inserted in a dataset binded to a datagrid?

Any help or advice is very welcome.

Thanks,
Juan.

Juan,

You mean the datatable rowchange event?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...angedtopic.asp

The added row is forever
dataset.tables( x).rows(dataset .tables(x).rows .count - 1)

and when that is more than the previous there is one added.

I hope this helps?

Thanks, after i insert a row in the dataset binded to the datagrid i want
that row to be selected in the datagrid, it displays the inserted row but

datagrid and the selects it...

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me with a really annoying problem I have been having. I made a derived datagrid class that will select the row when a user clicks anywhere on a cell (multi-select without modifier keys). I got that working fine, but I also wanted to keep rows selected after a sort, which I do by storing the row's id in an arraylist. The idea was to do the sort and then go back and re-select the rows with that...

Hi everyone I recently had the need for StringGrid object same as the one that Delphi has. An object that helps show lists of other objects in a simple grid. I searched the news groups and found none, so, I wrote one and decided to share it with you. It's a very simple one with few functions. I derived a DataGrid and added to it a DataTable to hold the data. The object itself is handling the synchronization between them, because...

I know datasets have been beaten to death in here, I have what is hopefully a simple question about the integrity of a dataset when used in an application. Scenario: User A and User B are updating data in a SQL database via an application that utilizes a dataset, dataadapter and datagrid. User A retrieves data from data source and sits on the data for some time User B retrieves SAME data from source, changes data via teh datagrid and

I did a lot of searches and read something about datagrids. But I couldn't find the answer of my simple question, how can I show only my desired columns of a table? for example I wrote this sql query: OleDbDataAdapter1.SelectCommand.CommandText = & _ "Select illNameE From tblIllness" OleDbDataAdapter1.Fill(DsIllness1) But in my datagrid, I get (null) for other ccolumns instead

Hi, I have developed webshop application using asp.net 1.1. I'm using DataGrid in one of the pages of my site. During the page load the DataGrid will be binded by around 7500 products(rows). At the same time i'm storing the DataSet object in the Session Variable for later refinement. I'm using StateServer mode for storeing the session values. But in my server the W3wp.exe is taking 90 - 100 % CPU

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
