Hi,
Hope I've posted to the right groups.
I'm trying create a Crystal Report for the first time using C# (novice
at that as well). The CR I can handel. What I want to do is to have a
whole bunch of fields in my application (winforms) which the user can
select to include in the report or not.
I believe I can use the CR Engine to change the report at runtime. Here

Does anyone have a generic procedure for adding blank lines to reports like
Sales details, PO details and/or Orders details. The procedure would need to
count the number of line items, determine the remaining page to fill and
print blank lines with the same number of fields as the line items. In
addition, if there were a long list of line items that carried over to a
second and possibly more pages, to print blank lines at the last page. The...

I have an Access 2002 database. BE is only about 25MB located on a NT4
server. The front end is an MDE file located on the local workstations
(XP, 512 RAM, 40Gig HD) running Access Runtime (scripts built by
SageKey). I have a report based on a query (pulls about 10K records
w/o the where clause that is used prior to printing). In order to get
the printer to see all 4 copies as one job and staple it I have a
report shell with 4...

to be seperated by lines. I am recieving mmy data accirately from a SQL

the row of fields the fields appear to be blank or covered up. in other

D. Lesandrini published an article some time ago about exporting Access
reports as XML, and then updating those XML reports dynamically in
..NET.
See->http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnhcvs03/html/vs03g9.asp.
I'm not getting it to work. If I use the XML and XSL file as generated
by Access, it works OK, but if I generate the XML file myself and try
to transform that with the XSL file, I just end up with a...

Pie charts on Access reports are very ugly. I should repeat this very very ugly. The lines on the pie are not smooth, they are jagged or crooked lines. How could I present the reports to the manager. I wish I could paste the charts here so that you could see how ugly is this.
There's many more. The datasheet on pie chart in a design view do not correspond to the actual data. They just showing "East, West, North" etc. Somethime I just copied...

I am trying to write a database query in an old version of Crystal Reports (7.0) that finds all of the accounts with multiple late fees and then prints out the details of those lines. I have the SQL to run it directly on the database (Ingres in this case), but when I try to put the code into Crystal, it truncated off the group by and having clauses of my subselect.
So I start with this:
SELECT
bi_acct_code, bi_ref_numb1,...

I'm having trouble continuously page numbering a large report in MS
Access. The report is made up of three separate Access reports which I
join together at the end.
In the past I have opened the reports and viewed them to see how long
they are then go in and manually type the page number and total page
number.
I am aware of the and lines of code but this resets with
each new report.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
