Hi!
Small challenge for you.
The index.php uses this file and calls layout(). Take a look at www.chatty.net this file
draws the chat login box on the right. I traced the CHAT button it submits and
goes to the index file again, I can't figure out how it opens the chatroom. I want
to get it to skip the login box and go straight to the room, with user name "guest"
or "" or whatever but I'll add a field to type the name in the chat room....

I have a MS sql 2000 db that needs to sync with a Mysql db.
When a password is changed in the MS SQL table, I need to make sure
that the same value is updated in the Mysql db.
I dont have any control of the gui that is initiating this event. So,
I was thinking a trigger might be an alternate route.
I just dont know how to get the username and password values that have
just been updated from MS sql to Mysql.

Hi
I have created a VB dll file that contains common functions I use
across various projects in VB, Access and Excel. Rather than have to
code the functions in each I decided to use the dll route.
The problem being that I can't call these functions from the query
designer in Access. I decided that I would try the route of declaring
the functions from the dll file the same way you would for the Windows
API. Access then complains that...

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this question belongs to FAQ, but I couldn't find a
concrete answer.
I created a Datagrid control using ItemTemplate, but it's NOT a
in-place editing datagrid. One of the columns of the data grid
contains a DropDownlist. I managed to create this datagrid control as
follows.

Hi all,
I have a user control that uses control literal to build
a heading with a link, and a div containing links below.
As the link heading is hit, I want to change the style of
the div, making it visible or not. Yep you guessed it,
expanding tree type functionality.
The header has an onclick event onclick='Doexpandcollapse

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
