I asked a couple of days ago about the following arrangement
(simplified). I made some progress using
netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege but still have to ask
some further help.
1) a frameset contains
- a number of javascript functions in the head (they do something
like top.frames.document.myform.elements.value = v
- two frames UP and DOWN

Using VC++ (1998) compiler with PFE32 editor in Win2K Pro SP4.
(DigitalMars CD on order. )
The program (below) instantiates a class and then deletes it.
I would have thought that reusing the deleted pointer would
have caused an exception, but it does not - or my coding or
thinking is incorrect?
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

If I try to add existing *.cs files to my project the are copied my working
directory !
I want to keep some general purpose classes outside the projects in a single
place, so, if I improve a class it is reflected in all the projects.
Is that possible ?

Hi all,
I've been studying ASP.Net for a couple of weeks now.And it's starting to
come to me. For me the next step is trying to figure out what is the best
way to reuse code and webforms.
For example I wrote a logon page, in combination with a user management
page(edit, create, delete, password, ...). So when I start a new project in
wich I want to use these pages and the code behind modules i want to off
course reuse these pages. How...

Sometimes I'll need to generate a new solution much like an old one.
I'll generate a new solution.
Then copy the project from the old solution into it.
Then do an add project.
Then change the projects name.
Then modify it.
I've noticed that when I do that the GUID of the new project is the same as
that of the old project.

Hmm... reusing VB.NET Form dialogs in other VB.NET projects seems very
straight forward.
However, I'm now trying to reuse these dialogs within an existing
C-based app.
The VB.NET project has already been configured for registration for COM
interop, so next question is how do I get retrieve/invoke the dialog's
interfaces/properties?

Ok, we are all aware of the situation where modifying the folder
structure (adding files, folders, deleting files, etc) will result in
ASP.NET triggering a recompilation/restart of the application.
In a nutshell, I understand how this can be considered desireable by
some, but I am not one of those people.
My situation is that we have a root site (hosted @ http://www.mydomain.com)
in the root application folder '/'.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
