Update Command Not Working Within Nested Datagrid

Hi,

I almost have my nested datagrid working properly. I created a datagrid on a
user control and dropped that onto another datagrid. At first, I noticed when
I was stepping through the code, that the update linkbutton actually goes to
the edit command instead of the update command (which I'm pretty sure would
be a bug). Anyway, I took out the editcommmand column and replaced it with a
regular template column. Within the editItemTemplat e, I placed a button which
calls the update command, which actually works. The update statement also
works properly (I tested in SQL while debudding and the database updates),
but when I send the editItemIndex back to -1, you cannot see the change. I do
bind the data as well.

This whole process works when I test the user control datagrid on a webform
by itself. But as soon as I nest it within another datagrid, it doesn't work.

Another weird thing is that if I hit edit and then update again, you can see
that the change took place. Also, if I just do a refresh on the page, you can
see those changes as well.

Any help would be very much appreciated...I have wasted many, many hours on
this!

I have a datalist within a datagrid and I am having trouble trying to get the update command working. I am only using the one for the datagrid, but this should also update the datalist, however when it gets to the section: strgame_score = game_score1.Text it says Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Here is my code, can anyone help?

I have an ASP.NET/VB app that updates values in a DataTable over the course of about 3 different pages. On the way out of the first of these pages, I explicitly build the DataTable from values in a DataGrid, and set the PrimaryKey of the DataTable to be the first cell in the grid (which is a UserID value). I then store the DataTable in a session object, from which it is retrieved for subsequent pages. All this seems to be working fine. ...

Greetings to anyone who can help: I'm using WebMatrix to make ASP.NET pages, and I chose the "Editable DataGrid" at the project selector screen. As you may know, it defaults to the Microsoft SQL database "pubs". I've followed the instructions in the comments and also changed everything pertaining to SQL over to OLEDB. (i.e. Changed SqlDbType. to OleDbType.) I also changed the datafield names and variable names accordingly. The page...

I have a very weird problem in updating my datagrid. Please help me to solve it. The datagrid is tied to a dataset table with five columns. Three of them are primary key and the other two columns are the ones that are of interest. These two columns have "date" type values and shows short time (i.e. 11:39). The program updates the database if I change the values in these columns, or add a new record, or delete a record. But, if one of...

I want to fire a database update off of a single change to a single cell in the datagrid. This apparently cannot be done using keypress, keyup, keydown, etc. I've read George Shepard's FAQ and while I may have overlooked it, I have not found an answer. I now am using the CurrentCellChanged event, and this is satisfactory IF the user moves off of the cell before closing the form. An obvious alternative would be to check for changes before...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
