I've been messing around with my Netgear MP101 and alternate servers. I
like the MP101, but the server that comes with it leaves a lot to be desired
(like you need to have it running on a logged-in Windows machine. Gag me
with a spoon). So my thought naturally turned to whether it's feasible to
write a replacement in Python. After all, UPnP is really just XML via HTTP
over UDP...
Half-an-hour's Googling later, it looks like it's a...

Here is some working code to open the specified TCP port on the gateway
nat device or firewall, and forward it to the calling machine. Great
for p2p apps. The newsgroups are such a great resource and have helped
me so much, I hope this helps others. Let me know if you find it
useful!

I am writing some client software that needs to accept connections from
the Internet. So I am looking for a UPnP implementation for a client of
an Internet gateway so I can request the NAT binding.
Googling on this I have found win32 implementations and Twisted
implementations yet I am looking for a way to do it on Linux WITHOUT
Twisted.
Who knows a pointer?

I'm writing a VB app in Visual Studio 2005 where I'd like to automatically
setup inbound port mappings for the user on their home router. I've been
playing with trying to use the NATUPnP 1.0 Type Library (hnetcfg.dll) and
have had no luck. From what I've read the library is friendly enough that
it should be as simple as adding the reference to the NATUPnP 1.0 Type
Library and doing some pretty mindless code (for example):
Private...

Ive searched around and Im hazy on what is needed to develop media
server code. Is there a UPnP library for C#? Linux apparently has
many, and I even found a Java one, but can't locate anything yet for
dotNET.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
