Class derived from ListView control doesn't display in design mode

Hello. In VB .NET I have a class derived from ListView like this:

Public Class ListViewSorted
Inherits System.Windows. Forms.ListView

'code to make this ListViewSorted class sortable...

End Class

(this class belongs in a project of type component class)

But this class doesn't display anything on in design mode.
I supposed it would display like a ListView, since it derives from it and no
other "look" has been defined for it.

What is needed from this class is:
1) To provide the same "look" at design time as its base class ListView.
2) To appear on the Toolbox so it can be added to any form in other
projects, just like the ListView control.

How can I accomplish that?

Thanks in advance,

Richard

The following may strike many of you as just plain silly, but it represents the kind of delelima I find myself in when trying to make a design decision. Greetings! I am attempting to display data in tabular form using a ListView control in detail mode. This is for a program I originally wrote in VB6. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...
