You will need to acquire a pop3 componenet to access mail - there are lots
on the web for .net but none are native to the framework. For sending mail
the default IIS smtp server would suffice using the native smtp classes.

Uzair,

For mail (including things as Pop3) seems this to be one of the best
websites, they started with Delphi however should now as well do dotNet.

I've implemented a number of strongly-typed collections that inherit from CollectionBase and recently noticed something that I don't fully understand. CollectionBase defines method RemoveAt(). However, CollectionBase implements IList which also defines method RemoveAt(). In my collection when I code my own RemoveAt() method, the compiler issued a warning indicating that my RemoveAt() must be defined with a "new" keyword. So, to keep...

I'd appreciate anyone's help with this. I'm trying to open an email window and have it auto fill from vb.net. It works, except I can't get line breaks in the body. I've tried: vbLf vbCrLf Environment.NewLine sendkeys <br> and multiple "&body=" Nothing happens with the above.

Using only Access 97. Need to run as admin in order to use Tool /Compact, etc. Tried Allen Browne's suggestion about registry hack meant for multiple versions of Access, but doesn't seem to work for "version 8.". (Still get Error 75: Path/File access error) Users have been using desktop icons pointing to specific .mdb. Although "Run as Administrator" is available for short-cut to msaccess.exe, it is grayed out when specific mdb is added...

I often change my mind (sometimes back and forth several times) about whether a given variable should contain a pointer to a structure or the structure itself, and generally each time I'll have to change several instances of "." to "->" or vice versa, in the related code. But the compiler knows when something is a pointer, why can't it let me write "." in every case and automatically dereference as many times as necessary? I've read...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
