is there a program that allows me to debug a webiste written in c# or vb in
real time?
It would provide me with the list of resources that the website is using.
(varaibles name, type, size, value...)
ie. see what variables are declared and what are the assign values as people
visit the website?
this would really help me to optimize my code.

I have a problem that I am trying to solve. We have a huge product with a
whole lot of ASP and VB code. VB code is all ActiveX dlls which are used by
ASP app. When I attempt to add features or fix bugs, I like to execute the
dlls in debug so I can see what is going on. (Some folks in my org seem to

When in debug mode if you make any changes to the application settings
or project properties, the next time I attempt to debug I get
"The operation could not be completed. The process cannot access the file
because it is being used by another process. "

Hi , I am using asyc sockets p2p connection between 2 clients.
when I debug step by step the both sides , i'ts work ok.
when I run it , in somepoint (same location in the code)
when I want to receive 5 bytes buffer , I call the BeginReceive and then
wait on AsyncWaitHandle.WaitOne()
but it is signald imidiatly , and the next call to EndReceive return zero
bytes length , also the buffer is empty.

depending on if the code was compiled in debug or release?
i.e. if the code was compiled in debug:

Hi,
I'm trying to follow Lab1 of the WF Hands On Labs.
Having created the project and set a breakpoint as per instructions, I press
F5 to compile and run the project. The instructions say that when the
breakpoint is reached I should select Step Into from the Debug menu. However,
Step Into does not appear as an option. I only see Step Over? On the Debug
toolbar, I can see the icon for Step Into but it is greyed out.

It seems I have fallen victim to some strange behavior in VS2005 where it
refuses to allow breakpoints to be hit during debug in my dll project. The
breakpoint ball says, "breakpoint will not currently be hit. no symbols have
been loaded for this document". The modules window says symbols for the dll
aren't loaded and when I try to load them I get an error that says the
module and pdb file don't match.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
