Afternoon all. I have a question, hope I'm in the right place. Since
installing the final of Service Pack 2, I find that, using Internet
Explorer, or MSN Messenger, I can no longer access the MSN chat rooms. I
have tinkered around with the security settings till I am blue in the
face. I subscribe to Hotmail Extra Storage to have access to the good
chat rooms. What happens when I go to the website or use the Messenger,
I hit "Sign In" .net button, it changes to "Sign Out", I try to access a
room, it goes to the page with the "I See The Smiley Face" dialogue. I
click that, it just takes me back to the Chat home page, and the "Sign
In" button returns to the top of the orange boardered page. I can't seem
to get past that dead end.
The rooms, do however, work in Firefox, if that is any help. Thanks in
advance.

I'd like to add a basic chat application to my web site to get the members
talking more, I've decided to limit the number of users to 30. There will
be a seperate popup with a frame & three pages
page 1 = list of users (updates every 10 seconds)
page 2 = content / text (updates every 3 seconds)
page 3 = text box to type in.
I'll be using meta refresh to update the page(s) to the users on a regular
basis (every 3-10 seconds). My...

I am looking for a software package hopefully open source for a live chat
system in C#.. one that's similar to phplivesupport.
I have contacted the vendors I found in the component gallery at asp.net
but none have responded!! That's poor customer service for me.
I will probably use an open source one and extend it myself. Any
suggestions?
It needs to satisfy these:

I am trying to create a very simple chat program using UDP through a web
page. I am having problems getting this going. All the examples I've seen
deal with remoting or application variables, or web services, etc. Does
anyone have any resources to point me to (either VB.NET or C#) that explains
how to create a simple chat on a web page?
thanks.

Hi all!
I am currently working on a project where I need to create a web-based chat
application that will be used for auctions.
If possible, could I get some advice on how to create chat applications and
which part of the .NET framework should I delve into? I would really
appreciate the help!
Cheers,

I have a chat client working, using a standard textbox for the chat window.
Is there another control and/or code I could use that could recognize a

Alright, I've set up a chat system that only works half way... I need suggestions on how to make it work better...
I'm trying to figure out a way to make $_SESSION viewable to all players by making it equal $cchat, but I don't think it will work... I don't like to use the database because then the chat would become really tangled. It's only there for admin access. I want to keep the chat session specific while having what is posted...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
