you probably need to set security in the webpart to a specific user.

you may want to ask this question on a sharepoint-oriented newsgroup.

All, I am trying to add some .net applications I wrote to a virtual directory underneath the sharepoint services web site. I am having some problems and wondering if a) this is possible and/or recommended and b) if there is another way. I want to add the projects under the sharepoint site as I want authentication but do not want my users to have to login everytime they access a net app from within the sharepoint site. Ideally, they...

Hi everyone, We recently installed Windows Server 2003 and Sharepoint Portal Server, and after a few days of using it and scouring the web for ways to pull data from MS SQL within SPS, I'm finding myself looking at C# as a possible solution. Some comments and questions though... First let me say I'm coming from an extensive ColdFusion and MS SQL background, so from a CF/MSSQL standpoint I know exactly how to do this -- but with...

I was advised by a Microsoft speaker at a local .Net conference that "SharePoint" had a lot to offer for asp.net developers. I've spent a few hours hunting down links on Sharepoint Services in Server2003 and also SharePoint Portal Server Product. Whenever I try to learn the details of what the SharePoint services have to offer for asp.net developers all roads lead to a video, recorded in 2003 that has to do with "asp.net" and sharepoint....

Hi there, I am having a weird problem in trying to use a ASP.NET menu inside a custom web part. I am developing a custom web part that has a menu inside (just the menu, nothing else). The menu is a System.Web.UI.WebControls.Menu (ASP.NET 2.0) object. If I add the menu to a simple ASPX web form, it works nice. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
