Crystal report viewer, very slow navigation

Hi All.

I'm using a crystal report viewer in asp.net. My problem is when ever i use the next/prev page buttons it takes ages to display the new page. I'm setting the reportsource using a string ie" c:\report1" so i'm not binding the report on each post back. I've also tried using my own buttons and the rportviwer.show nextpage method, but this is no quicker.

help
Alan.

Hi Again, Forgive me for posting this again, but old items seem to get little review. I thought I could adjust the viewer properties without any further aid from the NG, but I was wrong. When I print my reports to a file or directly to the printer, the orientation is landscape. This was set in the report itself using Designer | Printer Setup and setting the printer to landscape. When I send the report to the viewer, using the...

Hello all: I have the Crystal Report viewer imbedded on a .NET form, and it works very well... except, on the target machine, when I set the ReportSource property of the viewer (to a ReportDocument object), it PRETENDS to load a report, but displays a blank object. The toolbar becomes active, the navigation buttons are active, but otherwise the viewer does not have the report loaded. Clicking the "Refresh" button of the viewer at this...

I have the following situation in a VB.Net App I am working on: 1.)A report created in VS.Net 2003 using the CR.Net component of VS 2003. 2.)The datasource for the report is a Stored Proc in a SQL Server DB (pull method). 3.)The Stored Proc has two input parameters of type date. 4.)The Stored Proc is a rather complex proc that was not written by me, but does work(see next item). It currently returns about 13K rows of data. 5.)The...

Hello, I am developing a VB.NET 2003 application that will use lots of Crystal Reports. Sometimes the users will preview a report in a Crystal report viewer, and sometimes they will send the report directly to the printer bypassing the Crystal report viewer altogether. When sending the job directly to the printer I use the PrintToPrinter command CR.PrintToPrinter(1, False, 0, 0)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
