how do I deploy my c# asp.net app to 2000 server?

I can't find any tool to send the working website (working on localhost) to
the intranet server, I've tried a copy and paste into the wwwroot directory
on the server but attempting to connect to the page produces the following
error.

Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to
service this request. Please review the following specific parse error
details and modify your source file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'IT.WebForm1'.

Source Error:
Line 1: <%@ Page language="c#" Codebehind="itM enu.aspx.cs"
AutoEventWireup ="false" Inherits="IT.We bForm1" %>
Line 2: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" >
Line 3: <HTML>
Source File: C:\inetpub\wwwr oot\it\itMenu.a spx Line: 1

Thanks for any help!
Rich.

Hi there, What's a great tool to use to deploy n-tier web-based apps? I'm thinking in terms of an installer that produces a package that a client can run that will set up one or more IIS sites, copy files to an NTFS partition and set permissions, create an application and install COM objects in Component Services, attach (or script the creation and population of) a SQL Server 2000 database, etc. I'm currently using ASP, IIS 5.0, SQL...

I have seen many posts of people with the same problem as me (attached below), but I have yet to see any solutions posted. Has anyone figured out how to deploy an Asp.net web site to the webserver in any place other than the default website? I do not want to install it there as our IIS has multiple websites, but nowhere is there an option when creating the install package in Visual Studio to specify what website on the server you want to...

I get the message "server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1" when I try to deploy a WebForm app to Windows Server 2003. In the past, the same deploy to Windows Server 2000 was completely successful. But, ASP.NET 1.1 is part of the OS, right out of the box. Can you suggest what I need to do to deploy to Windows Server 2003?

Hi, I create my Webservice in 2003 VS and test in Windows 2000 and Windows XP Pro without any problem. When I deploy it over Windows 2003 server, It fails to connect to the WS. I got Anonymous access check, and integerated Windows authentication check. My client, WinCE 4.2 device, still cannot access the web service. I got a WebException return to WinCE. The same setting is always work in Windows 2000/XP Pro.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
