Hello,
i'm currently writing a debugger for python and found that some
modules store an absolute file path in "co_filename" of there
methods/functions and some store a relative file path. Because the
relative file path can never be expanded to an absolute file path
later (the sys.path may have changed) it is impossible to find the
source code location.
Is there anything i have missed or is this simply a bug. I would

Hi,
My application includes a class library which has both managed C++ and
unmanaged C++ code.
The unmanaged C++ code includes only one class with both virtual
methods and non-virtual methods.
When I use the debugger I am able to step into methods that are
non-virtual, however, when I try to step into methods which are
virtual I receive the following message: "There aren't source code
avalaible for the current location".

When I load a csharp program into the MS DbgCLR.exe debugger and trace it everything is fine the first time.
Assume now, I change somewhere a code statement in the source file (outside the Debug-IDE) without re-compiling it.
DbgCLR.exe recognizes that something has changed in the source file and pops up a warning dialog asking if
the new source should be used. If I click "yes" and re-start the debugging process from the beginning...

I'm making some minor changes to a VB 6 app that I converted to VB .NET a
couple of years ago and I'm running into an issue with a function that is
seemingly returning a different result in the debugger than when I run the
exe.

Something has happened to my project. As I step through the code, a Find
Source dialog opens up. For some reason VS can't find the source I'm
stepping through. The routine it's calling is within the same project and
sometime even in the same file.
Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, how did you fix it?
Since this is happening on 4 different computers, I'm assuming it's a
problem with the solution/project.

I have code running in the debugger as I type. I press pause, and it
pauses on:
Application.Run(new myForm());
*I believe* a worker thread is in deadlock (it's in a lock, but calls
another function that tries to use the same lock). If the main thread
was deadlocked, I think the debugger would stop right on that spot.
So, I assume that it is a worker thread that is deadlocked.

Can I break the debugger into a worker thread? Right now, my app is
freezing, and when I press pause, it stops on:
Application.Run(new MyForm());
I don't know what that means. I know the application starts there.
But why would the debugger stop on it? Why doesn't it stop where the
code is being run? I think there's a worker thread that is messed up.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
