Hi all,
I have a problem using FSO with a mapped drive.
I have mapped x: on our Intranet server to a folder on one of our file
servers. The folder contains user home directories. I want to be able to
copy the contents from one home dir, to another, to allow a user of a
temp account to transfer all their files and folders to their real
account, all from our Intranet.

think problem is different:
The problem: Open a VB Winforms project from a mapped drive and all
files open fine except form files. Their code opens fine but trying
to open them in the form designer I get (for instance)

Hello,
Im grabbing tables via VB code using visual foxpro ODBC drives.
The tables directory is in a mapped network drive. The code works fine
and does the job, however if the computer is idle for a while the
network drive apears to have a red X on the icon and the drive becomes
disconnected. this seems to effect the VB code from grabbing the
tables. I get an error saying the specific table cannot be found. If i

Hi All,
I am trying to access a mapped network drive from a service that I have
created.
The service needs to create/delete folders/files on a network drive. When I
tried to connect to a folder on mapped network drive (eg. N:\Storage that
corresponds to \\FS1NS\SharedDir\), I get an error as "Could not find part
of path N:\".

Hi
I am trying to develop a Windows service in VB.NET which has timer
enabled and keeps checking a folder (or group of folders) for any new
file or changed files. As soon as it detects any new file or changes
(to files or folders) then it copies the files (and any new folders) to
a folder in the mapped network drive.
So far I have been successful in developing and deploying the service
which works on my local machine with two drives...

My OS is Windows XP. I mapped a drive on another machine running
Windows 2000.
I set the permission of the mapped drive on the Windows 2000 machine
to be "accessible to everyone". On the Windows XP machine I can access

Hello,
I developed the program for multi use. The program reads data from the
text file and puts modified data back to another file. This program
was uploaded to mapped network drive. When I try to run this program
from my computer (doesn't matter if it is on my local drive or on
mapped one) the program runs ok. When somebody else trying to run this
program from mapped drive, then they can not access this file. On

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
