Interfaces screwup question

I have the following in one form:

Public Class ExeScript
Inherits System.Windows. Forms.UserContr ol
Implements ToadInterfaces. Interfaces.GotF ocus,
ToadInterfaces. Interfaces.HasC onfiguration, ToadInterfaces. Interfaces.UCFo rm

and the implementation is

Public ReadOnly Property SBToolBar() As TD.SandBar.Tool Bar Implements
ToadInterfaces. Interfaces.UCFo rm.SBToolBar

Definition of the interface is:

Public Interface UCForm
Property DocumentManager Document() As DocumentManager .Document
WriteOnly Property Configuration() As Configuration
Function CleanUp() As Boolean
Function FormKeyStrokes( ByVal kpe As System.Windows. Forms.KeyEventA rgs) As
Boolean
Property HasChanges() As Boolean
ReadOnly Property SBToolBar() As TD.SandBar.Tool Bar
End Interface

I get an error:
C:\Documents and Settings\MyName \My Documents\Visua l Studio
Projects\ToadUI \ExeScript.vb(1 4): 'ToadUI.ExeScri pt' must implement
'ReadOnly Property SBToolBar() As TD.SandBar.Tool Bar' for interface
'ToadInterfaces .Interfaces.UCF orm'. Implementing property must have matching
'ReadOnly'/'WriteOnly' specifiers.

I have the same implementation and definition is about 5 other UserControls
with no problem.

Any ideas??

Hi, Please help me to understand this, because I don't see what I'm missing. I was reading a lot of examples on Internet that explain that C# doesn't implement multiple inheritance it implement multiple interfaces.

In C#, an interface cannot mark any method as static. i'm told the ILASM supports it but i've never tested that Two questions. First, why? OK, i've heard the reason about interfaces being allocated on the stack but that's not a real reason. Which is OK because this isn't a real question, it's just a complaint dressed up to look like a reason Second question. If a language doesn't support a fairly obvious feature, one has to wonder if...

Hi, I have been reading on interfaces working on samples I've run across on the web. For the life of me I cannot seem to grasp them. It appears to me that interfaces are simply blueprints to a class, that when implemented, they require the implementing calss to make sure that each of the properties, functions etc. are handled by the class. (????) What I am really having a problem with is how they overcome the limitation

I am having trouble understanding the purposes of an interface, even though the concept of interfaces is around me all the time (user interface, for example). I'm just not understanding software interfaces. Like anything else, it appears Interfaces are by design something that requires documentation. I know this may be obvious, but if I have a class A and I say, well, class A implements IMyInterface. The fact that it implements...

Greetings, I am actually a VB.Net guy, but I have worked somewhat with C++ and C#. I just want to ask about the relationship between Abstract Classes and Interfaces. My first question is if C# even has Iinterfaces. I took some Java programming classes and Interfaces are a main staple of Java. And in VB.Net I use interfaces for setting up definitions of classes. I am guessing that Abstract classes in C# do the same thing as...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
