Retic goes Jython now, and is thus fully compatible with the Java platform.
(I won't develop no more on the former Python version of Retic. )
This gives a better connectivity, particularly through JDBC and JMS.
Jython 2.1 is included in the release.

Changes are (I might have forgotten some bug fixes):
- Bug fix : Scheduled events didn't work if no parameter file was required
- Improvement : Speeded up SQL source when there were several records to
extract (~x10)
- Improvement : since JDBC drivers return rowcount on query execution,
there's no need

Hello everyone,
I am attempting to use the Application Updater Block for my application. I
am running into an issue, once the appstart.exe has pulled down an update,
it will not do so again unless I change the guids of the appid on both the
server and in the appstart.exe.config. Anyone have any ideas what I am
doing wrong?

Hi,
I have Visual Studio 2002, containing both VB and C#. Currently I am
learning VB as a hobby. From what I've read, VB.NET is supposed to be as
powerful as other languages, like C#. Would there be any reason for me to
learn C# in addition to VB, besides having another notch in my belt or for a
better chance at a programming job? Is there anything major that C# can do
that VB cannot?

I am a C Sharp newbie, and need to study its compiler internals as a
part of my small project. Does Microsoft provide compiler details e.g.
what kind of symbol table it uses etc ? I believe there is an
equivalent Linux implementation - Mono available . Would looking it up

I've just started checking this out. I've got it to work alright with
one exception. It is a secured MDE, so I've setup all the INI file
options for it. The problem is that the UserID I setup for it to use to
do the version test, seems to need more than the claimed 'minimum
rights'. I haven't figured out what specifically it needs rights to, but
it is somewhere between our base level (does not have access to
sensitive data) and our Manager...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
