Hello, We are using Access Front End (ADP Project) and SQL Server 2000 backend. SQL Server is using NT Security. We do not want the users to access the the underlying tables. So, we went to each table and unchecked 'Select'. We also placed an 'X' in all columns for guest and public account. Next, we created a view. The view has 'Select' permission given to the

We are currently in the process of developing a client/server based generic tree application with which we want to be able to model and render any size, shape and depth of tree. Our primary objective is to provide the ability to model large data trees with some 20 million+ nodes whilst still allowing adequate rendering and query times from the client. We have just bought Joe Celko's "Tree's and Hierarchies in SQL fo Smarties" and have...

Hi All, I am reposting this because I need some guidance/advice fairly quickly. I currently have the following setup for saving a file on the server: The user runs a VB app on his/her PC. Among other things, the app prompts the user to select a file (or files). The app then uploads the file(s) to the web server (effectively pushing the files up). In addition, the app calls an aspx page and passes the file name (and a few other

I have never dabbled with ASP.NET until now so be warned! I have created a web application with the single default form: WebForm1.aspx and when I try to display it I get this error. My understanding was that ASP.NET was supposed to set itself up, especially as I am using Windows Server 2003. Can anybody give me instruction as to resolution; what folder should I be granting the access to? The path shown only exists as far as the...

Hi, I am strugling with a simple problem which I can't seem to resolve. I have an asp.net page which contains a server-control (flytreeview, which is a kind of a tree to be exact). The tree is being updated by some other process through remoting. When the page loads, I init the tree, and in my browser I can see the initialized tree. The problem is that every time that I receive update to tree from the remote process,

When the vehicle entry form (frmVehicleEntryForm) first opens, the additional owner SubForm control (frmAddnlOwnrListSubForm) is enabled. You can click on it and it will accept the focus. But after you enter data to the first field on the main form (a VIN#), that is not the case. The SubForm control becomes disabled and will not accept the focus. Dunno why. There's no child/master link fields. They have no settings - at least not in design...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
