Is it possible to disable the Windows form datagrid "children
dropdowns"? I'm loading the datagrid with a dataset that has multiple
tables & relations, but don't necessarily want the user to be able to
access them through the datagrid.

Hi,
the application I am writing has a MainMenu and a DataGrid
(UltraGrid).
Now I have to edit the text of each cell in this grid. So far so good.
All works fine in editmode but if I press a key which is also a
shortcut it doesn´t work and the menuitem-clickevent will be
performed.

VB.NET was to set datagrid.AllowSorting = False. Unfortunately this
has never worked for me. I discovered another set of code that seems
to work for 99% of the cases where I need to disable datagrid column
