Is there a way in {C++, C#, VB} to capture (as in screenshot) a hidden
window (as in inactive, invisible)? I'm trying to get an app to work
correctly, and this is the final piece I need.
Thanks,
Ryan

This is long. Bear with me, as I will really go through all the convoluted
stuff that shows there is a problem with streams (at least when used to
redirect stdout).
The basic idea is that my application (VB.NET) will start a process,
redirect its stdout and capture that process' output, displaying it in a
window.
I've written a component for this, and a test application for the component.
It allows me to specify a command to execute,...

I am trying to capture the Windows Authenticated username, but I want to be
able to capture the login name that exists in IIS, not Windows. In order to
enter my company's intranet through the internet, they have to login. I want
to be able to capture that login versus their Windows login because I need
to know who they are from any computer rather than only their computer. Any
ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
I have a messagebox that pops up due to an event. I did it in javascript.
ie. alert("Time's up. Assessment Ended");
I want to capture the OK and Cancel events of this alert messagebox. My code
is in C#/ASP.NET.
TIA.
Andrew.

I want to be able to capture a screenshot of a windows form that is hidden.
My goal here is to create a form of any particular size (the size could be
larger than the screen), get a screenshot, and save it to a image file.
I know how to capture a screenshot of a form but unfortunately if part of
the form is "off" the screen, then the area that is not on the screen is
"black" in the file.
Hope this makes sense.

Is it possible by use of pyWin32 or ctypes to make a screen capture of
an inactive, or a hidden window if the hwnd/WindowName/ClassName is
known? I've seen dedicated screen capture software do this. While
PIL.ImageGrab.grab() is excellent, it will only capture the foreground
of the desktop. I've tried for hours, but I soon get helplessly lost in
the labyrinths of the Win32API.

So, my problem is that i have to get picture from this site (the one with
code on it), but I can't figure out how to do that.
Picture is generated from php code, and I can't find way to save that image.
Now, my web browser control (axWebBrowser) is hidden on the form and there's
problem with capturing hidden controls.
I found only capturing visible forms, but i need to capture content of
hidden control.

Hi,
Is there easy way of capturing innerHTML content when the user submits the form? I tried using a hidden input field which works, however...is there any other way of doing this without using hidden input field?
Thanks,
Dave

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
