Just curious - is there an easy way to shape bandwith in python. If I
wanted to have a max download speed for instance
-thanks

Hi
I'm trying to get some control over the speed I'm sending out packets in a
networking application. Using UDP sockets, if I send at full speed, I
eventually have packets that never make it on the network, as it appears
that my sending mechanism is faster than the card can send, and somewhere
along the network layer chain, a buffer overflows and drops packets I'm
sending down. Now I'd like to slow down the sending somewhat and I'm...

From an aspx page (A.aspx) I open another one (B.aspx -
for table lookup). When the user selects an entry in
B.aspx I would like to force a button's event in A.aspx
to be fired. I guess the only way is using javascript -
does anybody have a sample for this ?
Thanks

Hi,
Im using VB dot net and crystal 11
I have a mainReport with a parameter @Idcustomer
and in the mainReport I have a subreport @customerId
They are linked using crystal.
I would like to determing in the subreport the parameter name it is linked
to in this case @customerId is linked to @idCustomer using code.
I know there is a subreports link collection but unsure how to use it.
Any ideas/code samples

is it possible to detect the bandwith of all network adapters (NICs only), that are installed on a winxp system programmatically (any language, .net or C/C++)?

Hi, I've seen on some applications like emule, options on limiting the
amount of outgoing and incoming bandwith the application uses. How can
I incorporate this into my application?
Is this done with the .NET network classes, or do I have to go to C++
or can I use some third party library?
Thanks for your help!

I'm interested in programmatically manipulating groups of ASP.NET controls
by type. Can someone suggest code for the following?
Loop through, say, all label controls on a page, and assigning a CssClass to
them, or programmatically making the Visible/not Visible.
If applied to a containing page, such a function would traverse all user
controls statically and dynamically placed on the page, correct?
Thanks,

I'd like to create a service-locator\proxy type service that I can use to
simulate low bandwith situations and latency issues on the service under
test.
The request comes from the client, is processed through the proxy to the
actual service. The reply is then ADJUSTED as the message is relayed back
to the service. Now what does ADJUSTED really mean? I don't know. I would
guess latency is a simple delay. I don't know how to go about...

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. However, people are often confused as to whether an ONU can Work As a Router. In this blog post, we’ll explore What is ONU, What Is Router, ONU & Router’s main usage, and What is the difference between ONU and Router. Let’s take a closer look !

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
