Hi All,
We are facing a problem while integrating a HTML help file (chm version
1.x) to our windows .net application (C#). The help topic for the
controls in the application are shown using the following command
Help.ShowHelp(helpParent, @HelpFile, HelpNavigator.Topic, topicName);
The problem is like this.
Our application has two modes of operation
1) Wizard mode - a new file is created by the wizard.

I haven't stumbled across how to do this in VB.Net.
VB6 had the HelpContextID to associate a help topic with a specific method.
All the .Net discussions are related to applications with visible interfaces and associating help with controls. In a DLL I need to associate help with a method. How to do this in VB.Net?

I can launch the help viewer with no problem, but I want it to start on a
particular page and not the default page. According the the 1.4 docs you can
download, this should do the trick
help.showhelp(Me, "C:\directoryname\helpfilename.chm::/targetpage.htm")
starting the help viewer on targetpage.htm in the chm. But this gives me a
NotSupportedException: the given path's format is not supported.

Hi,
I have a VB.NET 2003 application which includes a help system developed
externally into a .chm file which is linked to from the application.
There are 3 ways the application links to the help:
1) Via a menu which just executes the help system using Help.ShowHelp
with the specified URL for the introduction page
2) Via a keyboard shortcut that executes the help system using
Help.ShowHelp with the specified URL.

My .chm file is an embedded resource so when I use it
GetManifestResourceStream returns a Stream which I convert into a temp file.
Then I try
Help.ShowHelp(Me, tempFileFullPath, "Shortcuts.htm")
which does not work.

The Help Class example requires only a simple copy, paste into a form and
run.
Which I did.
For it to relate to what I am trying to find out I set the "Help Navigator)
combobox to "Topic"
I left the "Parameter" textbox blank.
Tried different things in the Keyword textbox, like:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
