Programmaticall y Sending Email (with web links)

Hi All,

I'm currently sending email with a backend program that is being used
to monitor data in a SQL2000 database.

Basically I'm trying to figure out how to add a link to the email body
that has text instead of the really, really, long "http://..." string
that is generated by the program. The "http://" string shows up fine
and you can click on it but a nice hyperlink version that read "Click
here" (or something like that would be much nice for the recipient.
I'm not sure where to really start so any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Cor,

Thanks for the response but I'm not seeing the links you mentioned in
your post only the text from my original post. Would you post them again
or just email them to me?

Thanks again for the help,
Mike

Hi Mike,

The message below was the message to Mohamed.

But I copied them now in this :-)),

You can also have a look at this I got them from Jay B.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...figuration.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...vr_cdo_top.asp
The four CDOs are (in chronological order):

- CDO.DLL : CDO version 1.2.1
- CDONTS.DLL : CDO version 1.2.1 for Windows NT Server (not the same as CDO
version 1.2.1!)
- CDOSYS.DLL : CDO for Windows 2000
- CDOEX.DLL : CDO for Exchange 2000 Server
I hope this helps a little bit?

Hi there, I have a very specific problem and hopefully there is a solution out there for me. I have a folder with thousands of Excel documents. Each of these documents has a header with the destination phone number in a specific cell. I would like to somehow programmatically Fax all these documents to the appropriate phone number. The folder and the documents are generated monthly.

What method can I call to programmatically scroll a panel? There is ScrollControlIntoView() but I don't have a control to scroll into view. I just want the panel to scroll up by 100 pixels. Setting AutoScrollPosition doesn't seem to work either. The values I set are not honored, and are apparently modified by the framework. By the way, what I am trying to implement is the behavior seen in Notepad (and other Windows apps) where you...

Right guys. (I would like a solution to this in VB6 as this is what our needy app is written in, but any solutions that involve .NET would be much appreciated likewise as I could instantiate them, otherwise please forgive the crossposting.) I'm sure I've seen posts here before criticising the practice of automating outlook for the purpose of programatically sending email, on the grounds that it's naff. Well now we're really landed in...

Hello apologies if this is the wrong newsgroup to be sending this to. Basically, I have an ASP.NET application that I am trying to force to use a proxy server settings. This can be done by accessing machine.config, but I do not have access to the client machine.config machine. Therefore every request made from this application must have these proxy server settings. But I am having problems writing the code for this.

We have a website with hundreds of users. The users have each registered with their email addresses and other information, and these are stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database. The user accounts in the website are not in Active Directory, as the website uses Forms Authentication. We need to be able to query the MS SQL server database for all email addresses and then programmatically (C#) create a distribution list entry in our...

Using Access 2003 front-end, with SQL Server 2005 backend. I need to make the front-end application automatically refresh the linked SQL Server tables. New tables will be added dynamically in the future, so the front-end application must have a way to keep up with this (instead of manually linking them).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
