Server.Execute - No Session Available

In the Code-Behind file for a Specific page I'm doing, I am using Server.Execute( "anotherpage.as px", writer) to retrieve the resulting output of a different aspx page, which I am maniuplating etc. A page within a page concept.

My problem, is that no matter what I seem to do, the Session scope does not appear to be available within the Code-behind for the "anotherpage.as px" if I execute it with the Server.Execute( ) method. If I execute "anotherpage.as px" directly in my application, the session scope object appears valid. I have ensured that the @Page directive shows EnableSessionSt ate="True" and yet I get an error upon executing anotherpage.asp x (using Server.Execute( )) that indicates "Session state can only be used when enableSessionSt ate is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive ". Note, I don't get this error if executing the page directly

Any help at all is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, I am having trouble with some data that is ripped from a SQL database and displayed as a hyperlink. The hyperlink inserts the data into a querystring so the next page can read it. However, some of the data has apostrophies (') in it, so the page does not redirect properly (invalid syntax) because of the apostrophy. so i tried to use the URL encode to get around this to no avail - it doesnt

I have a very odd situation here. I have an administration page, where based on a users permissions, a recordset is called from the SQL server which has a list of paths to "Module Menus". Each of these menus are then placed into the page by calling Server.Execute(rs_Modules("ModulePath")). This works fine for up to 15 "menus" After that, the session variables that were set (not including those called by Global.ASA) are no longer set. ...

Hi everyone, I've been browsing this and a few other related newsgroups trying to get my head around this problem, and so far all the trails seem to go cold, without an acceptable solution being reached. I'm posting here because there seems to be a few MVP's knocking around, and if they dont know, then it's a safe bet nobody does. I'm beginning to think that what I want to do is simply not possible - but i'll put it out there once...

Hi all, I am thinking about doing this since I got several cases that some of our internal users open more than one browser at the same time from our server. When one of the transactions was not completed finished, the second browser jusk pick up some session variables from the first browser and process right after that. It messed up everything. I was thinking about use remote_addr, but it seems not working since we are behind the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
