Problem after changing assembly name

Hi there.

I have a problem after changing the assembly name of a class library.

I have two projects in one solution:
- a Windows application (.exe)
- Class Library.
There is a references from the windows application to the class library.

All the classes from the both projects are arranged by the same namespace.

Everyhting is going well: application runs and using classes and functions
in de class library.
But when I changed the assembly name of the class library, the windows
application compiled good but running gives this error message:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.TypeLoa dException' occurred in
TestApp.exe

Additional information: Could not load type TestApp.Testing from assembly
TestApp, Version=0.2.1.0 , Culture=neutral , PublicKeyToken= null.

What do I wrong? Is there an assembly problem? Also removing and add the
class library will not work.

I have been developing a suite of assemblies over the past couple of weeks, and this afternoon somethign started misbehaving. If I do not run the IDE and compiler the code from the command line, the compilation seems to work properly almost all of the time. More on this later. If I launch one copy of the IDE, then I can usually compile the project at least once. At some point, the build fails reporting "Could not copy temporary files...

Hello, all. I've created a C# dll that contains, among other things, two functions dealing with byte arrays. The first is a function that returns a byte array, and the other is intended to receive a byte array as one of its parameters. The project is marked for COM interop, and that all proceeds normally. When I reference the type library in the VB6 project, and write the code to call the function that returns the byte array, it works

I have a class Y in assembly B which is derived from a class Z in assembly C. So I correctly add a reference to assembly C in assembly B, build assembly B and everything builds fine. Now I create an assembly A which refers to class Y in assembly B. So I add a reference in assembly A to assembly B, and attempt to build. I get an error message, C3264, saying that it could not find the type Z, and that it is in assembly C to which I have no...

In the explanation to the ToolboxBitmapAttribute it is mentioned that new bitmaps added to an assembly by Visual Studio .NET get the name of the default namespace prepened to the name of the bitmap, and that the default namespace is the assembly name. It then mentions that one can change the default namespace through a project property, but there is no project property to change this in VC++ .NET projects. Is there a way to chaneg the...

Problem: I'm receiving the error "File or assembly name XXXXX or one of its dependencies, was not found." when trying to execute code in an assmebly that has both a strong-name and has been installed into the GAC. We originally had this assembly without a strong-name and we were successfully using it by referencing it when it was NOT in the GAC. The assembly was built using the 1.0 framework and we were able to call it from both 1.0...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
