Mark, I am being supplied a count of number of seconds since Jan 1st 1970, i.e. a Unix system time. How can I convert this into a valid .Net DateTime object ?
Get a DateTime value representing Jan 1st 1970, then call AddSeconds
on it.

Hi all,
I have a problem converting datetime to integer (and than back to
datetime).
Depending whether the time is AM or PM, same date is converted to two
different integer representations, which holds as true on reversal
back to datetime.
AM Example:

I have tables with columns that stores datetime data in int format on
SQL server 2000. For example, the datetime for '4/5/2004
00:00:00.000am' is stored as 1081180800. "4/4/2004 11:59:59.000pm' is
1081180799. I need to generate reports that display datetime columns
in "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mn:ss" format with am or pm at the end. Bellow is
my query statment.

I have created an SqlCommand object and I have set some parameters to it...
One of the parameters is of the DateTime type;
here is the code:
sqlCommand.Parameters.Value = DateTime.Parse(this.DateTextBox.Text);
sqlCommand.ExecuteNonReader();

Hi,
I create a DateTime object in C# like this...
DateTime _DateStart = new DateTime(2000, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1);
Now I save it to the Database (into a DateTime type of column) using the
SqlCommand and later I reload the value. Comparing those using the == operator
of the DateTime object yields incorrect results. Say I have two DateTime
objects, one was loaded from the DB:

Hello everyone,
I am working on a project when I have to convert a C# program into
Native C for speed purposes. I am using a .dll that creates a DateTime
object. Obviously, there is not DateTime object in Native C, but I
would like to know if there is a work-around to parse out the
day/month/year from this DateTime object. Any ideas?

Hi all,
So a lot of digging on doing this and still not a fabulous solution:
import time
# this takes the last_modified_date naive datetime, converts it to a
# UTC timetuple, converts that to a timestamp (seconds since the
# epoch), subtracts the timezone offset (in seconds), and then
converts

Hi,
I am having a little trouble figuring out how to convert a python
datetime to UTC. I have a UTC date (e.g. 2008-07-11 00:00:00). I would
like to create a UTC date so that when I send it to MySQL (which
treats all dates at local dates by default), it will already have
incorporated the proper UTC offset. I've tried looking through the
docs http://python.active-venture.com/lib/datetime-datetime.html), but
have not had any luck.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
