I am developing a windows aplication that needs to be easily deployable over the internet. I read some information on no touch deployment, and I tried to use it to deploy my application. I was able to run the application, but I ran into an issue where the very first time I tried to run it, I had to modify the .NET security settings in the machine I was trying to run it. It was a simple change, but this application will be used by users that would probably not know what to do. Is there a way to use no touch deployment without having to configure .NET security settings? If not, can anyone suggest an alternative

You can write an install program that the user would have to run first. This
program would have to be run locally (probably with admin privileges) to
change the security settings on the machine.

I tried the suggestions from this article but still the same problem.
No-touch deployment works on Win2K SP3 but keep getting page not found if
the web server has Win2K Pro SP4.

I found out that only using winform I can use the winword interop and
generate word document in the client machine and connect to a remote
database, so that I have made a winform application which accesses
winword on the client and a remote db.
Afterwards I wanted to use the no touch deployment but the winform
cannot anymore start winword on the client, and I get a security
exception.
Does that mean that I cannot use no touch deployment...

via IIS Server Zero Touch, but it requires about 4-6 times more Processor
Time and is thus 3-4 times slower than if started locally.

Short version:
IE7 and .NET Framework 2.0 breaks no touch deployment for .NET 1.1
applications. IE6 and .NET Framework 1.1 + 2.0 works fine. IE7 with .NET
Framework 1.1 only is fine, once we add .NET Framework 2.0, no touch
deployment does not work in a reliable manner.
