cannot implicitly convert type MSCOMMLib System.EventHan dler .NET

Hi,

Here I have a question about MSCommLib. I need to dynamically add
activeX controls that requires run-time license for MSCommLib. The
following is the actual code:

AxMSCommLib.AxM SComm mscomm = new AxMSCommLib.AxM SComm();

string strLicense = "gfjmrfkfifkmkf ffrlmmgmhmnlulk mfmqkqj";

System.Reflecti on.FieldInfo f =
typeof(AxHost). GetField("licen seKey",
System.Reflecti on.BindingFlags .NonPublic |
System.Reflecti on.BindingFlags .Instance);
f.SetValue(msco mm, strLicense);

mscomm.OnComm += new MSCommLib.DMSCo mmEvents_OnComm EventHandler
(this.mscomm_On Comm);

When I compile the above code, I get an error: "Cannot implicitly
convert type 'MSCommLib.DMSC ommEvents_OnCom mEventHandler' to
'System.EventHa ndler'".

Any advice about this problem is more than welcome.

Thanks,
Mindy

Hi, I am receiving the error when compiling the project, "cannot implicitly convert type object to string". The error points to this line of code and underlines the dtrRecipient: objMailMessage.To = dtrRecipient; I'm not sure why I am getting this error. Below is the complete code I am working with.

I tried to use the following example, to add a checkbox column to a DataGrid in an ASP.NET application: http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/datagridcheckbox.asp For some reason, I simply CAN'T get the example to work. This is my first foray into writing a generic method and maybe I've bitten off more than I can chew. My intent is to have a generic method that accepts a value name and that value will be returned from the source. My first attempt was as follows; (please ignore that error handling is not present in this example) public T GetValue<T(string objName) { T results;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
