Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the best newsgroup for this post, but I know there
will be many people who do know the answer.
In Visual Studio.NET 2002, when you installed the DirectX 9 SDK it created a
set of VS.NET AppWizards that would generate C#, etc, applications centered
around the DirectX system. But in 2003 no such wizards are created. Is there
an update for these or something that would let me use the DirectX 9 wizards
without installing VS.NET 2002 and then just upgrading the solution?
Thanks in advance,
Michael 2 1534
Hi Michael,
Have you installed "DirectX 9.0 SDK Update - (Summer 2003)": http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...52F-51E0-402E-
B7B5-FEB68D00F298&di splaylang=en
It can bring the templates back to your VS.NET 2003 :-)
Best regards,
Felix Wu

I've got Visual Studio 7.0.9466 and have installed the

I can't open the DirectX Summer release sample Direct3D

version is too early. However, if I do a check for
updates to VS, it says I'm up-to-date! I can open the
tutorials from an earlier DirectX...

I had VC# 2003 installed and then installed the Managed DirectX SDK. When I
highlight a Direct3D class (e.g. Device) and press F1, I get the help page
from the SDK and everything works fine within VC# 2003.
I subsequently installed the beta of C# 2005 Express. I am able to make the
reference to Microsoft.DirectX, and the tool tips and the builds work fine
with DirectX. However, the SDK help files are not integrated (F1 and index...

This problem has been bugging me for a bit now: I recently purchased Visual

fairly well looking over the samples and such, but no matter what I try I
cannot reference the DirectX assemblies through the Add Reference dialog (I
have them copied to another folder on my computer- they're also in
'C:\Windows\assembly\GAC\Microsoft.DirectX*\v*\' , but after reading for...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
