ASP.Net application on seperate remote IIS and Fileserver

Ok, we think we have a problem which SHOULD be simple to resolve but
appears to be impossible (unless we're not as good as we thought we
were!!!)

We have seperate workstations on which we do our development.
We have a seperate server running IIS which hosts all our development
websites.
We have a seperate fileserver where all our source code is kept in a
very neat file structure.

What we want to do is setup a new VS.Net project where the files will
reside on the file server, but the IIS server will serve the asp.net
code developed on the workstations.

How is this done so that from a workstation, a user can setup a new
project on our IIS server, storing the source on a file server?

Microsoft recommend that user work in an isolated environment, and
should avoid semi-isolated and non-isolated or shared environments,
but this has its drawbacks as well as its advantages and we would like
to know how these other environments are configured and installed.

Your opinions are welcome

Currently we have a site that allows users to listen to mp3 files. It is creating bandwidth issues. So we want to move the mp3 files to an ISP that caps bandwidth usage. Ours is currently burstable. Now I am able to do the following: Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") If fs.fileExists(music_file) Then 'show music file Else 'do not show a link for file

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I can't seem to find a 'remote control' newsgroup on my news server. And anyway I know Tony has some experience of this. The app is split FE/BE. I'd like remote access to at least the server, hopefully the whole network. And to be able to upload/download, to install new versions of the FE to the server (which then get sent up to the clients at runtime). What experience does anybody have of this....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
