Difference between Professional and Enterprise?

Tom
Is the main difference between the Visual Studio .NET Professional and
Enterprise editions the inclusion (in Enterprise) of : 1. SourceSafe, 2.
Visio (Architect), and (3) Win2003 Server integration?

Also, if Professional doesn't include SourceSafe, but you ALREADY have
SourceSafe, can you still use it within the Professional IDE? My guess is
'NO', since the Professional doesn't include the IDE integration DLLs for
SourceSafe, but am just curious if anyone knows.

Thanks.

The enterprise editions (there are two) also contain development versions of
some servers, testing tools, enterprise templates, and more reference
applications.

Yes, you can use Visual SourceSafe from the Professional edition if you
already have it.

The version differences are at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ho.../choosing.aspx.

Are there any limitations between versions, specifically should a project created in VS.Net Enterprise Architect (from a Univerasl Subscription) be able to be opened and worked on by someone using VS.Net (from a Professional subscription)

It would seem crazy if they cant

Greetings, I wish to purchase Visual Basic (5 or 6) with cost being a major factor. In perusing eBay, I find that there are at least 3 versions of each. I would like to know the differences between the Learning edition, the Professional edition and the Enterprise edition. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

I have a copy of MS Visual Studio 2002 Professional ACADEMIC which I understand is the same as the regular Professional version with the addition of a student CDROM. The installation program on the first CDROM only copies the MSDE to the harddrive and the copied setup file has to then be manually executed to complete the installation. Are...

Hi All, What are the pros and cons between using Enterprise Manager or Query Analyzer for my queries. Currently I use Enterprise Manager because I prefer the interface and only use Query Analayzer when queries time out in Enterprise Manager, but I'm sure there must be more to it. Regards,

We have to upgrade our Visual Studio .NET 2003 enterprise edition to .NET 2005. However, there is no enterprise edition for Visual Studio .NET 2005. I don't understand the Enterprise editions that MS gives away. If I only write VB what is the difference between buying and using VS2008 and downloading and using the VB enterprise edition? If I write a solution containing VB and C# what is the difference?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
