Writing to a remote Registry key

I'm able to use RegistryKey.Ope nRemoteBaseKey to read a value on a remote machine's registry, but I'm
unable to write to the key using .SetValue, getting an unauthorized access exception.

As I'm an administrator, what do I need to do to write to a remote registry key?

I am using VMware, and am able to debug from Visual Studio to the VMware virtual machine... Right up until the application being debugged tries to write to the registry. Then it fails due to lack of security...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
