ado.net-stored procedure - null value in parameter question

I am trying to send one of the parameters of stored
procedure having a null value. The parameter is of type
blob. I declare it in code like 'new OleDbParameter
("p_sigPicture" , OleDbType.LongV arBinary)'.
The result of execution is exception: 'Stored Procedure
is not found'.
I don't want to make another stored procedure for the
case when the is no parameter to pass.
What can I do to pass a null value?

Hi Oleg,

It sounds to me that your stored procedure name in CommandText is wrong.

Hi, I read that ASP.NET uses VB.NET instead of VBScript. I also read that ASP.NET is a subset of VB.NET. So if I learn VB.NET first then do I have the knowledge for programming ASP.NET applications or do I need to learn both VB.NET and ASP.NET. Thank you. TAM

Hi all, I'm searching for a few good books on asp.net and c#. I'm afraid of buying books here in denmark that i cant read though before i get them, becuase 90% of them are just pure junk. I dont need 3 chapters on object oriented programming or c# inside a asp.net book. Looking mainly for reference books or tactics books that would cover all aspects of asp.net, like security, controls, session managment, web.config and so on.

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server 2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a request. "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)." Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
