Greetings.
Do any popular browsers correctly support <q>, at least for Western
languages? I've noticed that Mozilla uses the standard English
double-quote character, ", regardless of the lang attribute of the HTML
document. Will any browsers render German-style quotes or French-style
guillemots for lang="de" and lang="fr", respectively?
Regards,
Tristan

When creating new files for Projects in vs.net, I will get these weird
backtick double quotation characters, which will routinely cause errors
pointing to the characters when running:
<xs:schema id=”Books” xmlns=””
..is there something in some sort of Preferences area that I can
eliminate these inside vs.net, or why are they automatically thrown in?

Hi all,
I'm using std::strings in a program, and was wondering what the most
efficient method of performing the following two tasks would be:
1. Locate all apostrophes (') in a string and replace with two apostrophes
('')
2. Locate all side-by-side double quotation marks ("") and replace with a
single quotation mark (")

I have several TextBoxes with TextMode="MultiLine" in which I want to limit
the number of characters that can be entered using a
RegularExpressionValidator. I have come up with the following
ValidationExpression:
{0,250}
The only problem with this ValidationExpression is that it does not include
the \n character as stated on the following documentation page:

I need to check the current value of a string value to see if it
either starts with or ends with a double quote character, as in
"123" (where the quotes are actual contens of the string). I thought a
quotation character inside of a string is specified with two double
quote characters. But when I code something like:
string myString;
if (myString.StartsWith(""""))

Hello,
I have some XML that is returned to my application from another vendor that
I cannot change before it gets to me. I can only alter it after it gets to my
application. That being said, I am having a problem loading the XML correctly
into my app.
Here is the code:

Dim sPaymentXML as String

Some months ago, I'd asked this group:
"Backtick, at-sign, dollar-sign: legal in source?"
I got 20 replies, most of which were off-topic and did not
answer the question.
Keith Thompson provided the only direct, on-topic reply.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
