Need help with .NET documentation

TDM

Hello all,

I suspect I created my own problem as I had a need to install an older
version of MSDN Library so now my .NET Documentation is broken.
When I run :

Start/All Programs/Microsoft Visual Studio .NET/Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Documentation

All I get is a blank IDE with this text :

The Visual Studio .NET Combined Help Collection
The Visual Studio Combined Help Collection (VSCC) is currently the active
Help collection. It may contain the standard Visual Studio documentation, as
well as documentation for any installed third-party packages or add-ins.

If no topics other than this one appear in your Help system, you have not
installed any documentation. To install documentation, open Add/Remove
Programs in Control Panel and run the setup for the appropriate product.

It used to work just peachy until I installed Visual Studio 6 and MSDN
Libray October 2001. My guess is some registry hack will fix this problem
but all my efforts so far have turned up no results. I am on WinXP Pro and I
DO NOT want to uninstall/reinstall anything to fix this as I am sure the
problem lies deep in the bowels of the registry somewhere. If anyone can
please advise me how to fix this without the standard M$
uninstall/re-install scenerio, I would be forever in thier debt.WIth all the
darn security/patch fixes that go along with an uninstall/re-install, I
would likely need expensive counseling by the time I was done, that is if it
was even a successfull venture.

TDM.

Greetings all, I have some questions about the bsddb package that comes with Python 2.3 that I can't find answers for. I've googled and read the documentation. 1. Does the Berkeley database from Sleepycat need to be installed separately from Python, or is it included? The documentation states that bsddb requires the Berkeley DB library 3.1 or later, but it seems to work without it (on Debian, at least - I don't think it's installed).

I did this once and can't remember how <blush> so I read the reportlab user guid. It says to unzip the reportlab archive - this is on w2k, BTW, with Python23 - to a directory and make a file called reportlab.pth in the pythod dir. The only line in this file is supposed to be the path to the reportlib dir. Then I'm instructed to open the ... ok I'll close and reopen ... the python cmd line interpreter and type import reportlab

A few of you may recognize me from the recent posts I have made about Indy <http://www.indyproject.org/indy.html> Those of you coming to .net from the Delphi world know truly how unique and "huge" Indy is both as a project, in support, development, and use. But Indy is new to the .net world. Indy is a HUGE library implementing over 120 internet protocols and standards and comes with complete source. Its an open source project, but not...

Hi, I need detail documentation about PFIL_HOOK. It would be really nice if anyone can provide me any documentation regarding PFIL_HOOK. I have searched on the internet but I could not find any detail documentation of PFIL_HOOK. I found one paper " Hooking Filters for Fun and Profit: PFIL_HOOKS". But I found it insufficient to understand PFIL_HOOK. I need to use PFIL_HOOK to capture ipsec packets after these packets are received and...

Hi all, Hope someone is able and willing to help me with following problem. I received a xsd file from another company, our company i supposed to return xml based on that xsd. Problem is that I don't really understand how these namespace work in xml. (I am however aware of what problems namespaces solve) I'm not even sure if the provided xsd is 'common' practice, although it validates correctly. So I'll describe exactly what I've...

Hey all, I'm writing a c++ program that needs to read a file. I'm trying to read a file that is in the same directory as the executable. Everything works fine if I execute the program while in the program's directory. What I need to do is read that file regardless of where (cwd) I execute the program from, without hardcoding the absolute since the program might be moved or be in differant locations on other computers.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
