I have a Solution with 3 projects all in VB.
If I make Changes in project A in one file, and say run,
than the compiler finds always errors in a other forms, that should be
correct.
After a full rebuild of the solution everything is OK.
But that needs too much time, to make ALWAYS a full rebuild of the soultion.
What can be the problem ??
The Application is working well.

From what I can tell you have project dependy issues
I have a solution with 2 projects
If you right-click on the solution you can set the dependencies and build
order.
Also, out on www.thecodeproject.com there is a macro that you can download
that will stop the build when it encounters an error an NOT build any other
project. This can reduce build times.

Hello there,
We're having a some problems with Visual Studio 2003 at the moment. In a
nutshell, devenv.exe terminates when trying to run our application after a
full rebuild. After trying to track this down using Filemon.exe (from
www.sysinternals.com) and debugging devenv.exe (in developer studio :))
using the Microsoft symbols (from the MS Symbol server), it appears that it
crashes in mspdb71.dll when doing a full dependency check.

I have a solution in which I have 4 projects.
P1 is a EXE project (dependencies : P2 and P4)
P2 is a DLL project (dependencies : P4)
P3 is a DLL project (dependencies : P2)
P4 is a DLL project (dependencies : None)
All of these projects are plain unmanaged win32, no COM, no ATL, no MFC,
etc.

I just put C# express editiion on my son's computer so he can learn how to
code, and we've run into a weird problem.
Whenever he makes a change to his code and hits F6 (build) the IDE reports
that the build succeded. However, when he runs the program (Start without
debugging), the new build IS NOT being run. He has to actually choose

Does anyone have any idea why my 2005 solution is choosing to rebuild,
everytime i execute any project within its space?
There's nothing overly strange with the project assemblies within, a
few class libraries, a couple of console apps, one custom setup
project and one windows installer project.

The project is to do some file deployment for some third party

When I compile the solution, VC assumes the project is always out of
date and execute the Post Event always. It’s boring, the copy
