the general entity customer:
CREATE TABLE customer(customer_id int, customer_name varchar(250),
customer_type int)

Hi, there is an application running on a remote desktop (under Citrix ICA,
but the same problem applies for RDC or PC Anywhere). Now, I want to send
keys to the remote application from a local app. I tried sending keys in VB
with SendKeys, as well as using keybd_event API, but I'm not able to send
any keys. It works very well for any local applications, but I can't pass
the keys remotely. Is there any way to do it?
Thanks!

Because of the requirements on a high-speed data entry form, I need to
reliably trap certain keys (specifically the "/", "*", "-", and "+") keys on
the 10-key pad and treat them as "Function keys". This MOSTLY works, however
I am finding that not with all workstations. Does anyone know what kind of
nuance might be involved here and how to avoid it? (I know it can be done
because the CICS emulators on these same workstations are able to...

This has been bothering me for a while. Just want to find out if it
just me or perhaps others have thought of this too: Why shouldn't the
keyset of a dictionary be represented as a set instead of a list? I
know that sets were introduced a lot later and lists/dictionaries were
used instead but I think "the only correct way" now is for the
dictionary keys and values to be sets. Presently {1:0,2:0,3:0}.keys()
will produce but it could also...

I am coding a radix sort in python and I think that Python's dictionary may
be a choice for bucket.
The only problem is that dictionary is a mapping without order. But I just
found that if the keys are numeric, the keys themselves are ordered in the
dictionary.
part of my code is like this:
radix={}
for i in range(256):

I'll kick myself when you tell me, but ...
I have a user control on a form, and I want the user control to see the
arrow keys when I press them. If I press just about any other key the
control's KeyDown event is fired, but not when I press a direction key.
I want to see them in the KeyDown event so that I can respond as soon as the
key is depressed, and I want to detect when the key is held down so that I
can perform an action...

the tabs on the Tabcontrol.
Works like a charm <ominous musicuntil one hits F8</ominous music>
That particular tabpage has a webbrowser object embedded in it .. and after
it flicks to that tabpage it no longer plays nice with the other Tabpages
.. click on another Tab using the mouse and all is wonderful again. (unless

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
