Ocasionally I get this error message:
"A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any,
should be discarded"
There is an arcticle in MSDN describing this problem, but it does not apply
to my case and it appears to be Framework data issue.
The code uses Framework 1.0 and the machine has NET SP3

Any idea why this happens? It only happens on the live machine, but not the
test machine. I've heard this happens when you try to send too much data to
SQL Server, but all I'm sending are 4 small varchars and 2 floats thru
ExecuteNonQuery.

I get this error when i tried to execute a stored
procedure with a input parameter of type varchar and
length 8000. When I run the sam in SQL query analyser it
doesn't give any problem. I find the same issue posted in
many of the forums, but nowhere I could find the solution.

Im posting this in both the .NET general group and SQL group since several
other post mention that this may be a problem with ASP.NET and not SQL
Out of the blue, any SQL 2005 SPs we have that execute dynamic SQL generate

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
